LITTLE TICH 1907, France, BW, 6'17, Music-Hall, with Little Tich, production Pathé. Little Tich, a music-hall artist very popular at the turn of the century, was one of the characters Charlie Chaplin was inspired by.
A TRIP TO MARS 1924, USA, Tinted, 4'59, Cartoon by Dave et Max Fleischer, with Koko. In the twenties, Max Fleischer, Popeye’s and Betty Boop’s creator, designs Koko’s character, a friendly clown. Here he goes once more out of his inkwell for another new adventure.

QUAND MADELON 1917, France, Tinted, 3'33, Song by Roger Lion, with Pierre Etchepare et Rachel Devirys. In 1917, there are no sound films. There have been attempts to use records as sound tracks, but unsuccessfully. G. Lordier offers to rent films with singers, thus creating the first karaokes.
