Unknown author linked to the Nouvelle Vague, Guy Gilles is considered today as one of the most independent and talented filmmakers of his generation. Inventing rhythms, images and his own personal poetry, this director had the particularity of inviting the greats to appear in most of his films, where you could see Alain Delon, Jean-Pierre Léaud, Jean-Claude Brialy, Juliette Gréco, Edwige Feuillère, Annie Girardot, Roger Hanin, Micheline Presle or Macha Meryl. The recent rediscovery of his filmography by the Cinémathèque Française brought his three greatest films to light, now restored by Lobster Films with the support of the CNC.
